Simple Sautéed Green Beans (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 pound green beans, ends trimmed
02 - 1/3 cup water
03 - 2 tablespoons butter
04 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
05 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - Salt & pepper to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Add the water to a skillet and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat. This small amount of water will steam the beans perfectly.
02 - Once the water is bubbling, add your trimmed green beans to the skillet and cover with a lid. Let them cook for 4-5 minutes until they reach that perfect tender-crisp texture. If you prefer softer beans, just cook them a couple minutes longer.
03 - Carefully drain all the water from the skillet but keep the beans inside. You can use the lid to hold the beans in place while tipping the skillet to drain.
04 - Put the skillet with the beans back on the stove over medium heat. Now we'll add the flavor.
05 - Add the butter to the hot skillet and let it melt around the beans. Sprinkle in the onion powder and garlic powder, then season generously with salt and pepper. Toss everything together using tongs or two spoons for about a minute until all the beans are glistening and well coated in the seasoned butter. Serve right away while hot.
