Homemade Orange Sweet Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Yeast Mixture

01 - 1/4 cup warm water
02 - 1 packet (0.25 oz) instant yeast
03 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

→ Milk Mixture

04 - 1 cup milk
05 - 3/4 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
07 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

→ Dough

08 - 1 large egg, beaten
09 - 1/3 cup potato flakes
10 - 1/3 cup hot water
11 - 4 cups all-purpose flour

→ Orange Filling

12 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
13 - 1 cup granulated sugar
14 - 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
15 - 2 teaspoons orange zest
16 - 1/4 cup fresh orange juice

→ Orange Glaze

17 - 4 ounces cream cheese
18 - 1 cup powdered sugar
19 - 2 teaspoons orange zest
20 - 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice

# Instructions:

01 - Make yeast mixture with warm water. Scald milk and add ingredients for milk mixture. Cool.
02 - Mix potato flakes with water. Combine with egg, yeast and milk mixtures. Add flour and knead 5-10 minutes.
03 - Let dough rise in greased bowl for 1 hour. Meanwhile, mix orange filling ingredients.
04 - Roll dough, spread with butter and orange filling. Roll up and cut into 12 pieces.
05 - Let rolls rise 30-60 minutes. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes. Top with orange cream cheese glaze.
