Chocolate Cherry Dump Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cans (21 oz each) cherry pie filling.
02 - 1/2 teaspoon almond extract, optional.
03 - 1 box (15.25 oz) devil's food cake mix.
04 - 3/4 cup unsalted butter, thinly sliced.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 9x13-inch pan with cooking spray.
02 - Stir almond extract into pie filling if using. Spread cherry mixture in pan.
03 - Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over cherries. Layer thin butter slices on top.
04 - Cook 45-50 minutes until top is baked and filling bubbles in center.

01 - Some dry spots on top are normal.
02 - Serve warm with ice cream.
03 - Keeps 2-3 days at room temperature.
