Cherry Blossom Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup soft butter.
02 - 1 cup powdered sugar.
03 - 4 teaspoons maraschino cherry juice.
04 - ½ cup chopped maraschino cherries.
05 - ¾ teaspoon almond flavor.
06 - 2½ cups flour.
07 - 1 package dark chocolate kisses.
08 - 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze.
09 - 1 spoon water for glaze.
10 - 1 teaspoon almond flavor for glaze.

# Instructions:

01 - Beat butter and sugar until light. Mix in cherry juice and almond flavor.
02 - Mix in flour until combined. Fold in chopped cherries.
03 - Roll into 1-inch balls and flatten a bit. Chill 30 minutes.
04 - Cook at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. Push a chocolate kiss into each hot cookie.
05 - Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled cookies.

01 - Can use plant-based ingredients.
02 - Add more liquid if dough is dry.
03 - Add more flour if dough is sticky.
