Amish Hamburger Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 ounces wide egg noodles.
02 - 8 ounces softened cream cheese.
03 - 1 cup cottage cheese.
04 - 1/2 cup sour cream.
05 - 3 tablespoons melted salted butter.
06 - 1 tablespoon olive oil.
07 - 1 1/2 pounds ground beef.
08 - 1/2 cup diced onion.
09 - 1/2 diced green bell pepper.
10 - 14.5 ounces drained diced tomatoes.
11 - 3/4 cup condensed tomato soup.
12 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce.
13 - 1 cup shredded cheese.
14 - Fresh herbs for garnish.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
02 - Cook egg noodles in well-salted water until barely al dente, about 5-6 minutes.
03 - Combine cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream and melted butter until smooth.
04 - Brown ground beef with onion and bell pepper, then drain excess fat.
05 - Mix drained tomatoes, tomato soup and Worcestershire sauce into the meat mixture.
06 - Layer half of noodles, cheese mixture, and meat mixture. Repeat layers. Top with shredded cheese. Bake uncovered 25-30 minutes.

# Notes:

01 - Use well-salted water for cooking noodles.
02 - Don't overcook noodles - they'll continue cooking in oven.
03 - Ingredients should be room temperature for best results.
