Peel and grate potatoes. Place in bowl, add salt, and squeeze out extra moisture.

Heat olive oil in pan over medium heat.

Form potato mixture into patties and fry until golden brown on both sides. Set aside.

In same pan, cook ground beef until browned.

Add onions, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper to beef. Cook until onions soften.

Take one potato patty, top with beef mixture and cheese.

Cover with second potato patty, seal edges well.

Return stuffed cakes to pan, fry until crispy and golden on both sides.

Serve hot, topped with sour cream if desired.
