Soft Peppermint Candies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup butter.
02 - 4 cups powdered sugar.
03 - 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream.
04 - 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract.
05 - Red coloring gel or food coloring.

# Instructions:

01 - Cover workspace with parchment paper and have extra powdered sugar ready for rolling.
02 - Beat room temperature butter until fluffy.
03 - Mix in cream, powdered sugar, and peppermint until firm dough forms.
04 - Divide dough: 1/4 for red and 3/4 for white.
05 - Form each dough portion into balls.
06 - Roll red portion into a thin rope.
07 - Roll white portion into a thicker rope.
08 - Twist red and white ropes together.
09 - Roll twisted ropes between palms to smooth.
10 - Let twisted ropes dry for 1-2 hours.
11 - Cut into pieces with a pizza cutter.
12 - Let the cut pieces dry completely for 24 hours.
