Saltine Cracker Toffee (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 40 saltine crackers.
02 - 1 cup unsalted butter.
03 - 1 cup light brown sugar, packed.
04 - 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips.
05 - 1 cup chopped pecans.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Line bottom of baking sheet completely with saltine crackers.
03 - Bring butter and brown sugar to boil over medium heat. Once boiling rapidly, let cook undisturbed for 5 minutes.
04 - Pour hot toffee mixture over crackers and spread evenly with spatula.
05 - Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over crackers.
06 - Bake 6-8 minutes until bubbling all over.
07 - Remove from oven and carefully separate crackers, transfer to parchment-lined sheet.
08 - Melt chocolate chips in microwave at 50% power. Place in double-bagged ziplock, snip corner and pipe over crackers.
09 - Let cool completely before moving or storing.

# Notes:

01 - Can use different nuts or toppings.
02 - Can use dark or light brown sugar.
03 - Can add peppermint for holiday variation.
