Beat butter, sugar and vanilla until fluffy, mix in flour and salt until combined.

Stir in chopped nuts, chill if dough is too soft.

Roll into 1 tablespoon balls and place on sheets.

Cook 7-8 minutes until bottoms are light brown.

Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar, cool, then roll again.
