One Pot Italian Sausage Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 16 ounces Italian sausage
02 - 8 ounces uncooked spaghetti
03 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella

→ Sauce Base

04 - 2 tablespoons tomato paste
05 - 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
07 - 1 teaspoon sugar
08 - 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
09 - Crushed red pepper flakes to taste
10 - 3 cups beef broth
11 - 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes

→ For Serving

12 - Grated parmesan cheese
13 - Fresh parsley or basil
14 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Brown sausage in pot over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes, breaking up meat. Drain fat.
02 - Add tomato paste and garlic, cook 1 minute. Stir in seasonings, broth and tomatoes.
03 - Once boiling, add spaghetti. Simmer uncovered 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
04 - Turn off heat, add mozzarella and cover 5 minutes. Toss and serve with toppings.

01 - Adjust liquid if needed during cooking
02 - Can use ground sausage or remove from casings
03 - Recipe makes plenty of sauce
