                Add brown sugar, milk, and butter to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes, then remove from heat.

                Stir in the vanilla, oats, coconut, and walnuts into the saucepan, then pour the mixture into a greased 8-inch square baking pan lined with parchment paper. Spread evenly.

                Refrigerate until set. Once firm, cut into squares.
