# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened.
02 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract.
03 - 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk.
04 - 4 cups powdered sugar.
05 - 14 ounces sweetened shredded coconut.
06 - 10 ounces maraschino cherries, drained and chopped.
07 - 3 cups pecans, chopped.
08 - 6 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips.
09 - 4 tablespoons shortening.

# Instructions:

01 - Beat together softened butter, vanilla, and sweetened condensed milk until smooth and creamy.
02 - Add powdered sugar and beat until combined.
03 - Mix in coconut, cherries, and pecans. Cover bowl and refrigerate 1-2 hours until firm.
04 - Use 1½ tablespoon scoop to form balls from chilled mixture. Roll in palms to make uniform. Place on parchment-lined sheets.
05 - Refrigerate formed balls on sheet pans.
06 - Melt chocolate chips and shortening in microwave in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
07 - Use fork to dip each ball in melted chocolate. Tap off excess and place on parchment to set.
08 - Refrigerate dipped candies to set quickly.

01 - Makes about 80 candies.
02 - Can be made in smaller batches.
03 - Dust hands with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
