Italian Sausage Cream Soup (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb Italian sausage.
02 - 1/2 cup onion, diced.
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced.
04 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
07 - 4 cups chicken broth.
08 - 1 can (14.5 oz) petite diced tomatoes.
09 - 8 oz ditalini pasta.
10 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened.
11 - 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated.
12 - 1/4 cup fresh basil.

# Instructions:

01 - Brown sausage in Dutch oven until cooked. Drain excess grease.
02 - Add onion, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook 1-2 minutes.
03 - Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.
04 - Pour in tomatoes, broth, and pasta. Make sure pasta is covered.
05 - Boil for 8 minutes until pasta is al dente.
06 - Reduce to medium heat.
07 - Add cream cheese and Parmesan. Cook for 5 minutes until cheese melts.
08 - Top with fresh basil and serve.

# Notes:

01 - Cook pasta just until al dente as it will continue cooking in the hot soup.
02 - Cube softened cream cheese for faster melting.
