Hungarian Chicken Paprikash (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 pounds chicken pieces (legs, thighs, breast).
02 - 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
03 - 2 onions, chopped.
04 - 4 cloves garlic, minced.
05 - 3 tablespoons Hungarian paprika.
06 - 1 teaspoon salt.
07 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
08 - 2 cups chicken broth.
09 - 1 cup sour cream.
10 - 2 cups all-purpose flour.
11 - 4 eggs.
12 - 1/2 cup water.
13 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oil, cook onions and garlic until soft.
02 - Add paprika, salt, pepper.
03 - Brown chicken pieces.
04 - Add broth, simmer 45 minutes.
05 - Remove chicken, stir in sour cream.
06 - Return chicken to warm.
07 - Mix dumpling ingredients.
08 - Drop dough into boiling water.
09 - Cook until dumplings float.
10 - Serve chicken over dumplings.

# Notes:

01 - Use authentic Hungarian paprika.
02 - Bone-in chicken adds more flavor.
03 - Don't boil after adding sour cream.
04 - Dumplings should be sticky but manageable.
05 - Stores well for 3 days refrigerated.
