Honey Glazed Brussels Sprouts (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved.
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil.
03 - 1 tablespoon honey.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
05 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
06 - 6 slices thick-cut bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces.
07 - 1/4 cup maple syrup.
08 - 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard.
09 - 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar.
10 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
02 - Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, honey, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet.
03 - Place bacon on a separate baking sheet.
04 - Roast Brussels sprouts and bacon in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until Brussels sprouts are tender and bacon is crispy.
05 - In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
06 - Toss roasted Brussels sprouts and bacon with the glaze. Serve immediately.

01 - Choose small to medium sprouts for better roasting.
02 - Can reduce sweetness by using less honey or maple syrup.
03 - Turkey bacon or smoked tofu can substitute regular bacon.
