# Ingredients:

07 - 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

→ Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

08 - ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes, adjusted to taste

→ Cornstarch

09 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch (or potato starch or arrowroot powder as substitutes)

→ Water

10 - 2 tablespoons water (for cornstarch slurry)

→ Cooking Oil

11 - 2 tablespoons cooking oil (vegetable, canola, or olive oil)

→ Optional Garnishes

12 - Sesame seeds and sliced green onions

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and optional ginger and red pepper flakes until combined. Add chicken pieces and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or up to overnight in the refrigerator for maximum flavor.
02 - Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off (reserve marinade). Sear chicken on all sides for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Reduce heat, cover, and cook for 10-15 minutes until fully cooked, ensuring an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
03 - While chicken cooks, bring reserved marinade to a boil in a small saucepan. Mix cornstarch with water to form a slurry and slowly whisk into the boiling marinade. Cook over medium heat until sauce thickens and becomes glossy. Pour over chicken and serve.
04 - Garnish cooked chicken with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving for a visually appealing and flavorful dish.
