Easy Spaghetti Meat Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meat Base

01 - 1 pound lean ground beef
02 - 1 sweet onion, finely diced
03 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1/2 teaspoon salt

→ Sauce

05 - 15 ounces crushed tomatoes
06 - 8 ounces tomato sauce
07 - 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes with herbs
08 - 1 tablespoon sugar
09 - 2 teaspoons dried basil
10 - 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
11 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
12 - 1/4 teaspoon pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Brown beef with onion, garlic, and salt until no longer pink. Drain fat.
02 - Stir in all tomatoes and seasonings until combined.
03 - Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 20-30 minutes or longer.
04 - Spoon over hot pasta. Garnish with parsley and parmesan if desired.

# Notes:

01 - Longer simmer means better flavor
02 - Use fresh garlic or garlic paste
03 - Prepare pasta while sauce simmers
