German Chocolate Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 box (18.3 oz) family size brownie mix.
02 - 2 large eggs (or as listed on box).
03 - 3 tablespoons water (or as listed on box).
04 - 2/3 cup vegetable oil (or as listed on box).
05 - 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk.
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
07 - 1 large egg.
08 - 1 1/2 cups sweetened coconut flakes.
09 - 1 cup pecans, chopped and toasted (optional).
10 - 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F.
02 - Grease 13x9-inch pan or line with parchment.
03 - Optional: Toast pecans in dry skillet for 2-5 minutes, then allow to cool.
04 - Mix brownie ingredients until few lumps remain.
05 - Pour into pan.
06 - Bake for 10 minutes until edges start setting.
07 - Mix condensed milk, vanilla, and egg together. Then stir in coconut flakes and pecans.
08 - Drop topping by spoonfuls over the partially baked brownies.
09 - Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
10 - Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are browned.
11 - Cool completely before cutting for clean pieces.
