08 - Fresh parsley, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Melt butter with olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add your thinly sliced onions and start the caramelization journey.
02 - Cook the onions for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they turn a beautiful golden brown. Season with salt and pepper as they cook.
03 - Meanwhile, rinse your rice until the water runs clear. Bring beef broth to a boil in a medium saucepan, add the rice, cover, and reduce heat to low.
04 - Let the rice simmer for 15-18 minutes until tender and all the liquid is absorbed. Keep covered and undisturbed.
05 - Once rice is done, stir in your caramelized onions and garlic powder. Mix well and taste, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper.
06 - Transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley. Serve hot and enjoy the comforting aroma.

# Notes:

01 - For extra richness, stir in some shredded Gruyère or Swiss cheese at the end
02 - Use vegetable broth instead of beef broth for a vegetarian version
03 - Leftovers keep well for 3 days - reheat with a splash of broth
