Cook sliced onions in oil and butter 30-35 minutes until dark golden brown.

Add garlic, seasonings, sauces and cook briefly.

Pour in water, milk mixed with cornstarch, bouillon and herbs.

Add pasta and simmer 20-25 minutes, stirring often until al dente.

Remove from heat, stir in cheeses until melted. Adjust seasoning and sauce consistency.
