Easy French Onion Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 spoons olive oil.
02 - 2 spoons butter.
03 - 3 large yellow onions.
04 - 4 garlic cloves.
05 - Red pepper flakes.
06 - 1 spoon worcestershire sauce.
07 - 1 spoon soy sauce.
08 - 5½ cups water.
09 - 12 oz evaporated milk.
10 - ½ spoon cornstarch.
11 - 2 spoons beef bouillon.
12 - Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme).
13 - Dried seasonings.
14 - 1 pound pasta.
15 - 5 oz gruyere cheese.
16 - ¼ cup parmesan.

# Instructions:

01 - Cook sliced onions in oil and butter 30-35 minutes until dark golden brown.
02 - Add garlic, seasonings, sauces and cook briefly.
03 - Pour in water, milk mixed with cornstarch, bouillon and herbs.
04 - Add pasta and simmer 20-25 minutes, stirring often until al dente.
05 - Remove from heat, stir in cheeses until melted. Adjust seasoning and sauce consistency.

01 - Can prep onions ahead.
02 - Keeps 5 days in fridge.
03 - Add liquid if needed while cooking.
