Classic White Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 5 1/2 to 6 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
03 - 2 packets (4 1/2 teaspoons) instant yeast
04 - 2 teaspoons salt

→ Wet Ingredients

05 - 1 1/2 cups water
06 - 1/2 cup milk
07 - 2 tablespoons butter

# Instructions:

01 - Combine 2 cups flour, sugar, yeast and salt. Heat water, milk and butter to 120-130°F.
02 - Beat wet into dry ingredients. Gradually add remaining flour until dough forms. Knead 6-8 minutes until smooth.
03 - Divide dough in half, roll each into 12x7-inch rectangle. Roll up, place in greased loaf pans.
04 - Let rise 45 minutes until doubled. Bake at 400°F for 20-30 minutes until golden.

# Notes:

01 - Use instant yeast not active dry
02 - Fresh 2-3 days or freeze
03 - Done at 190°F internal temperature
