Easy Beef Goulash (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound lean ground beef.
02 - 1 large yellow onion, chopped.
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced.
04 - 2 cups marinara sauce (half of 26 oz jar).
05 - 2 cups beef broth or water.
06 - 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes with juices.
07 - 3 tablespoons tomato paste.
08 - 1 green bell pepper, diced (optional).
09 - 1½ teaspoons Italian seasoning.
10 - 1-2 bay leaves.
11 - ½ teaspoon salt.
12 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper.
13 - 1½ cups elbow macaroni (8 oz), uncooked.
14 - ½ cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Cook ground beef, onion, and garlic in large skillet over medium-high heat until beef is done. Drain fat.
02 - Stir in marinara, broth, tomatoes, tomato paste, bell pepper, seasonings, and bay leaves. Bring to boil.
03 - Add macaroni, reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
04 - Uncover and simmer 5-10 minutes more until pasta is tender.
05 - Remove bay leaf. Top with cheese if using, cover, and let rest 5 minutes until cheese melts.

# Notes:

01 - Stores in fridge up to 4 days.
02 - Can add extra veggies like zucchini, mushrooms, or corn.
03 - Add more liquid if needed while cooking.
04 - Recipe can be doubled.
05 - Any ground meat can be used.
