Dr Pepper Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 box (13.25 oz) German chocolate cake mix.
02 - 3 large eggs.
03 - 1¼ cups Dr Pepper (not diet).
04 - 1/3 cup vegetable oil.
05 - 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips.
06 - 1/2 cup salted butter, melted.
07 - 1/3 cup whole milk.
08 - 1/2 cup cocoa powder.
09 - 2½ cups powdered sugar.
10 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
11 - 1/3 cup chopped walnuts.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F. Coat 9x13 pan with cooking spray.
02 - Beat cake mix, eggs, Dr Pepper, and oil for 1 minute until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.
03 - Pour into pan. Bake 25-32 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
04 - Whisk melted butter and milk slowly until creamy. Add cocoa powder and mix until smooth.
05 - Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, whisking until smooth. Add Dr Pepper if needed to thin.
06 - Pour frosting over warm cake. Sprinkle with nuts. Serve warm or at room temperature.

# Notes:

01 - Any chocolate cake mix works.
02 - Frosting can be thinned with extra Dr Pepper.
03 - Cake can be served warm or room temperature.
