Cut Out Sugar Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to cool room temperature.
02 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
03 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar.
04 - 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.
06 - 2 large eggs.
07 - 3 cups all purpose flour.
08 - 3/4 teaspoon baking powder.
09 - 1/4 teaspoon salt.
10 - Powdered sugar or flour for rolling.

# Instructions:

01 - Beat butter, powdered sugar, and granulated sugar until combined. Add extracts and eggs and beat until combined.
02 - Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl.
03 - Add flour mixture to butter mixture and beat until combined.
04 - Divide dough in two, form into discs, wrap in plastic. Refrigerate 2 hours or up to 1 day.
05 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
06 - Roll dough 1/4-inch thick on powdered sugar-dusted surface. Cut shapes and transfer to baking sheets.
07 - For re-rolled dough, freeze cut shapes 5-10 minutes before baking to ensure cold dough.
08 - Bake 8-12 minutes until edges barely golden and centers slightly underdone. Rotate pans halfway through.
