Crockpot Hot Chocolate (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 cups whole milk.
02 - 1 cup half-and-half.
03 - 6 ounces dark chocolate, chopped.
04 - 3 tablespoons granulated sugar.
05 - 1 tablespoon cocoa powder.
06 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
07 - 1 teaspoon espresso powder (optional).
08 - Pinch kosher salt.
09 - Marshmallows.
10 - Whipped cream.
11 - Caramel sauce.
12 - Chocolate chips.

# Instructions:

01 - Combine in 3-quart slow cooker: whole milk, half-and-half, chopped chocolate, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, espresso powder (if using), and salt.
02 - Whisk mixture thoroughly for 1-2 minutes until cocoa powder dissolves completely.
03 - Cook based on setting: Low for 2-3 hours, or High for 45-60 minutes. Whisk every 45 minutes.
04 - Once hot and chocolate is melted, keep on low or warm setting, ladle into cups, and add desired toppings.

# Notes:

01 - Must use whole milk for proper richness.
02 - Use chopped bar chocolate, not chips.
03 - Keeps in fridge up to 4 days.
04 - Stir before serving if reheating.
