Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 teaspoons smoked paprika.
02 - 1 teaspoon oregano.
03 - 1 teaspoon thyme.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder.
06 - 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
07 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
08 - 1/4 teaspoon salt.
09 - 1 tablespoon olive oil.
10 - 1 tablespoon butter.
11 - 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast.
12 - 1 yellow onion, diced.
13 - 1/2 pound penne pasta.
14 - 1 can (15 oz) fire roasted diced tomatoes.
15 - 2 cups chicken broth.
16 - 2 ounces cream cheese.
17 - 3 green onions, sliced.

# Instructions:

01 - Mix all Cajun seasoning ingredients in a bowl.
02 - Cut chicken into cubes, coat with Cajun seasoning.
03 - Heat oil and butter in large skillet.
04 - Cook seasoned chicken until browned.
05 - Add diced onion, cook 2 minutes until soft.
06 - Add pasta, tomatoes with juice, and broth.
07 - Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes.
08 - Stir occasionally until pasta is tender.
09 - Mix in cream cheese until melted.
10 - Top with green onions and serve.

01 - Use a deep skillet for best results.
02 - Stir frequently to prevent pasta from sticking to pan bottom.
