Classic Patty Melt (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 6 slices rye bread.
02 - 6 spoons butter, soft.
03 - 1 pound ground beef.
04 - ¾ teaspoon black pepper.
05 - ½ teaspoon salt.
06 - ¼ teaspoon onion powder.
07 - 3 spoons mayo.
08 - 2 spoons ketchup.
09 - 1 teaspoon sweet relish.
10 - 1 teaspoon sugar.
11 - 6 slices cheddar.
12 - 6 slices provolone.

# Instructions:

01 - Butter one side of each bread slice.
02 - Mix beef with seasonings. Form 3 patties.
03 - Cook patties 2-3 minutes per side, then low heat until done.
04 - Mix mayo, ketchup, relish and sugar.
05 - Layer bread (butter down), cheddar, patty, provolone and sauced bread.
06 - Toast each sandwich 2-3 minutes per side until golden.

# Notes:

01 - Can use different cheeses.
02 - Add onions or mushrooms if desired.
