Start by heating your oven to 350°F. Grab two 8x4-inch loaf pans and give them a good spray with nonstick baking spray so your bread doesn't stick.

In a large bowl, stir together your cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and mashed bananas until everything is well blended and smooth. If you're adding mix-ins like chocolate chips or nuts, fold them in now. The batter will be thick and fluffy.

Divide your batter evenly between the two prepared loaf pans. Use a spatula to smooth the tops so they bake evenly.

Bake for 43-48 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of each loaf comes out clean with no wet batter. The tops should be golden brown and slightly springy when touched.

Let the loaves cool in their pans until you can comfortably handle them. Then remove and cool completely before slicing. Store your banana bread in an airtight container or wrapped well in plastic wrap at room temperature for a few days, or freeze for longer storage.
