Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.

Using a standing mixer, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in eggs one at a time, then sour cream, vanilla, and whiskey until combined.

Gradually beat dry ingredients into wet ingredients until combined.

Add 1/3 batter to pan, top with half the walnut mixture. Add another 1/3 batter, remaining walnuts, then final batter.
