# Ingredients:

01 - 6-8 frozen hash brown patties, defrosted.
02 - 2 tablespoons butter, melted.
03 - 1/2 pound ground breakfast sausage.
04 - 1 small onion, finely chopped.
05 - 1/4 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped.
06 - 1/4 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped.
07 - 2 garlic cloves, minced.
08 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour.
09 - 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded.
10 - 6 large eggs.
11 - 1 cup heavy cream.
12 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt.
13 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
14 - Fresh chives, chopped (optional for garnish).
15 - Cooked bacon, crumbled (optional for garnish).

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
02 - Press defrosted hash brown patties into a 9-inch pie dish to form an even crust.
03 - Brush crust with melted butter and bake for 15 minutes until golden brown and crisp. Remove and set aside.
04 - Cook sausage, onion, peppers, and garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat until sausage is browned and vegetables are tender.
05 - Sprinkle flour over sausage mixture, stir and cook 1-2 minutes more. Remove from heat.
06 - Whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
07 - Spread sausage mixture in crust, top with shredded cheese, then pour in egg mixture.
08 - Reduce oven to 350°F and bake for 30-35 minutes until eggs are set and top is golden. Let cool 15 minutes before serving.

01 - Hash browns must be fully defrosted for proper crust formation.
02 - Can use different cheese varieties like Gruyère, Swiss, or mozzarella.
