Apple Dapple Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 cups all-purpose flour.
02 - 1 teaspoon baking soda.
03 - 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
06 - 1½ cups vegetable oil.
07 - 1½ cups granulated sugar.
08 - 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed.
09 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
10 - 3 large eggs.
11 - 4 cups apples, peeled and chopped.
12 - 1/3 cup butter.
13 - 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed.
14 - 1/3 cup granulated sugar.
15 - 1/3 cup heavy cream.
16 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 325°F. Grease 9x13-inch pan with cooking spray.
02 - Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
03 - Beat oils, sugars, vanilla, and eggs until well combined.
04 - Add dry ingredients to wet gradually, mixing well. Fold in chopped apples.
05 - Spread in pan, bake 50-60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
06 - Simmer butter, sugars, cream, and vanilla. Cool 5 minutes.
07 - Pour warm glaze over warm cake.

01 - Use firm baking apples.
02 - Can add 1 cup nuts if desired.
03 - Keeps 5 days or freezes 3 months.
