Copycat Texas Roadhouse Steak Rub (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Steak Rub Blend

01 - 2 teaspoons coarse kosher salt
02 - 2 teaspoons brown sugar
03 - 0.25 teaspoon cornstarch
04 - 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 0.25 teaspoon onion powder
06 - 0.25 teaspoon ground turmeric
07 - 0.5 teaspoon paprika
08 - 0.5 teaspoon chili powder
09 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Place all spice blend components into a large resealable plastic bag or a mixing bowl. Seal or cover securely and shake or stir vigorously to achieve a uniform mixture.
02 - Generously apply the rub to all surfaces of the steak, ensuring a thorough coating. Allow the seasoned steak to rest at room temperature for approximately 40 minutes to facilitate salt absorption and muscle tenderization.
03 - Preheat the grill to high heat. Place the prepared steak onto the grill and cook for 4–5 minutes per side, until a browned and slightly charred crust forms.
04 - After flipping, continue grilling based on preferred doneness: 5 additional minutes for medium-rare, 7 minutes for medium, or 10 minutes for well done.

# Notes:

01 - Adjust salt quantity to personal taste preference; additional salt can be added as needed after cooking.
02 - Makes approximately 2.4 tablespoons seasoning blend, ample for two large steaks.
03 - Highly recommended steak cuts for this rub include filet mignon, porterhouse, New York strip, and ribeye.
04 - Serve grilled steak with classic accompaniments such as mashed potatoes and brown gravy for a traditional experience.
