Steak Cheese Dirty Fries (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 450 g steak, thinly sliced
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 small onion, diced
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 2 cups (approx. 300 g) frozen French fries
06 - 60 g shredded cheddar cheese
07 - 60 g shredded mozzarella cheese
08 - 4 large flour tortillas

→ Accompaniments & Garnishes

09 - 120 g sour cream
10 - 120 g salsa
11 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
12 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
13 - 1 teaspoon salt

# Instructions:

01 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, add the diced onion and cook until translucent, approximately 3–4 minutes.
02 - Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
03 - Season steak slices with salt and ground black pepper. Add them to the skillet, stirring occasionally for 4–5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
04 - Remove the steak and onion mixture from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
05 - In the same skillet, add frozen French fries and cook according to the package instructions until golden and crisp.
06 - Return the steak and onion mixture to the skillet with the fries. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
07 - While the filling finishes, warm flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 10–15 seconds until soft and pliable.
08 - Place warm tortillas flat on a clean surface. Evenly distribute the steak, onion, and fries mixture onto the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
09 - Fold in the sides of the tortillas and roll tightly from the bottom, enclosing the filling securely.
10 - Heat a separate large skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Place the rolled burritos seam side down and cook 2–3 minutes per side until the tortilla is golden and crisp.
11 - In a small bowl, mix sour cream and salsa until thoroughly combined.
12 - Slice each burrito in half. Drizzle generously with the sour cream and salsa mixture, then garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For optimal tenderness, use a cut such as flank or skirt steak.
02 - Marinate steak before cooking to enhance flavor.
03 - Substitute with homemade fries or tater tots for variation.
04 - Add fresh jalapeños to the filling for extra heat.
05 - Whole wheat tortillas and reduced-fat cheese can be used for a lighter option.
