Spicy Green Beans Crispy Snack (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 16 ounces fresh green beans

→ Crispy Coating

02 - ¾ cup all-purpose flour
03 - ¼ cup cornstarch
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 1 cup buttermilk
06 - 8 ounces Panko breadcrumbs, crushed
07 - 2 teaspoons Slap Ya Mama seasoning
08 - 2 teaspoons garlic powder
09 - 2 teaspoons paprika
10 - 1 teaspoon black pepper
11 - 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
12 - 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
13 - 1 to 2 cups vegetable oil, for frying

# Instructions:

01 - Rinse and trim the ends of the green beans. Lay them out on paper towels and pat dry.
02 - Set up a dredging station with three shallow containers: one for whisking together flour and cornstarch, one for whisking together buttermilk and eggs, and one for combining breadcrumbs with seasonings.
03 - In a large frying pan or skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches frying temperature.
04 - Dip each green bean into the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, followed by the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat the process by dipping it back into the egg mixture and coating again with breadcrumbs.
05 - Place 6-8 green beans at a time in the hot oil. Fry until they turn golden on all sides. Remove using a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate.
06 - Continue frying the green beans in small batches to maintain the appropriate oil temperature.
07 - Serve immediately with your preferred dipping sauce.

# Notes:

01 - Use the freshest green beans possible; they should be firm and free of marks.
02 - If buttermilk is unavailable, mix 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar with milk to make a quick substitute.
03 - For best results, use a slotted spoon to remove fried green beans from the oil to avoid breaking them.
