Honey Lime Chicken Thighs (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 7 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
02 - 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

→ Honey Lime Marinade

04 - 4 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
05 - 2 tablespoons honey
06 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce

→ Garnish

07 - 2 green onions, finely chopped
08 - 1 lime, thinly sliced

# Instructions:

01 - In a small bowl, thoroughly mix the freshly squeezed lime juice, honey, and soy sauce until well combined.
02 - Sprinkle the chicken thighs evenly with salt, ensuring to season under the skin for optimal flavor.
03 - Heat olive oil in a 30 cm skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken thighs skin side down and sear for approximately 5 minutes, until the skin achieves a deep golden-brown color.
04 - Turn the chicken thighs so the skin side faces up. Pour the prepared honey-lime mixture into the skillet. Reduce the heat to low, cover with a well-fitting lid, and cook for 14 to 18 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 82°C. Allow natural chicken juices to blend with the sauce during this time.
05 - Transfer the cooked chicken thighs to serving plates. Spoon over the pan sauce, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve with fresh lime slices.

# Notes:

01 - Searing the chicken thoroughly creates a crisp, flavorful skin and enhances visual appeal.
02 - Always check chicken for doneness using a thermometer; the safe internal temperature is 82°C for thighs.
