Funnel Cake Bites Fried Dough (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
02 - 2 tablespoons sugar
03 - 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
04 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
05 - 1 egg
06 - 1/4 cup milk
07 - 1 tablespoon water
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
09 - Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
10 - Oil for frying

# Instructions:

01 - Fill a skillet with 1 inch of frying oil, such as canola oil. Heat over medium heat while preparing the batter.
02 - Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
03 - Add the egg, milk, water, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until the batter is smooth and well combined.
04 - Let the batter sit for about 5 minutes while the oil continues to heat.
05 - Spoon the batter into the hot oil using a dinner spoon. Fry 5-7 spoonfuls at a time. Cook for 15-30 seconds on one side, then flip and cook the other side until browned.
06 - Remove the browned funnel cake bites using a slotted spoon. Place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve immediately.
