Bacon and Corn Chowder (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - Bacon strips
02 - Diced onion
03 - Chopped celery
04 - Chopped carrots
05 - Minced garlic

→ Main Components

06 - Frozen or fresh corn
07 - Peeled russet potatoes
08 - All-purpose flour

→ Liquids

09 - Chicken broth
10 - Heavy cream

→ Seasonings

11 - Italian seasoning
12 - Optional cayenne pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Crisp bacon, reserve 2 tablespoons fat
02 - Cook onion, celery, carrots in bacon fat 5 minutes
03 - Add garlic, flour, then liquids
04 - Stir in corn, potatoes, seasonings, most bacon
05 - Cook covered until potatoes tender, 15-20 minutes

# Notes:

01 - Don't substitute cream with milk
02 - Add broth to thin leftovers
03 - Save some bacon for garnish
